  • You can check in online between 48 hours and 90 minutes before your scheduled flight, provided you purchased your ticket directly from the Cathay website or have a Club or Asia Miles membership. 
  • You can check in online between 24 hours and 90 minutes before your scheduled flight if you have an electronic ticket.  
  • You can cancel your flight after online check-in, provided that you cancel your online check-in first. 

Kiosk Check-In Policy

  • Passengers holding e-tickets are eligible for kiosk check-in, except passengers who require medical assistance, apply for unaccompanied minor service, have a group booking, or need to make additional payments.

  • Every individual can carry one personal item and one bag onboard. 
  • The linear dimensions of carry-on luggage should be limited to 56 X 36 X 23 cm. 
  • Economy class passengers can carry a maximum weight of 7 kg. 
  • Business class passengers should adhere to their 10 kg of luggage. 
  • First-class passengers have to maintain their baggage limit to 15 kg. 

Checked-in Baggage Policy

When travelling to or from Central, North, or South America, every passenger is permitted to check 2 bags, provided that each bag meets the following conditions: 

  • The total maximum linear dimensions should adhere to 157 cm. 
  • The maximum weight of each bag can't exceed 32 kg. 

When travelling to or from any place outside of the Americas, every passenger is required to follow the guidelines listed below: 

  • Though there is no limit on the number of baggage allowed, it is preferred if there is a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage.  
  • The total maximum linear dimensions should adhere to 157 cm. 
  • For Economy Class passengers, the maximum weight is described as 20 kg.
  • For business class passengers, the maximum weight is 30 kg.

Excess Baggage Policy

  • Depending on your destination, you will be charged between 100 and 260 USD for every extra piece of luggage. 
  • For every overweighted luggage, you will be charged between 60 and 150 USD based on your destination.

What is Cathay Pacific's Cancellation and Refund Policy?

  • Cathay Pacific allows passengers to bring their pets on board, but as cargo luggage, the only exceptions are service dogs, as they are allowed to travel in the cabin with their owners. 
  • Domesticated cats and dogs can travel as cargo luggage on Cathay Pacific Airlines flights. 
  • Passengers must submit their documentation, such as a valid health certificate, vaccination certificate, and other additional documents. 
  • The pet containers or kennels must be made of fibreglass, metal, rigid plastic, or welded metal mesh; a wooden cage is not allowed. 
  • The maximum allowed dimensions of the pet carriers are 25 mm x 25 mm for dogs and 19 mm x 19 mm for cats. 
  • The pets should be at least 8 weeks old to be accepted for travel on the plane.

      • I was travel with Cathay Pacific in last year and I was expected that they have delayed in flying but I was wrong they can fly on time form Hong Kong to San Francisco, and I have a great journey with them because all thinks are perfect but they cannot provide Wi-Fi in flight.
